Prayer and Liturgy
Prayer and Liturgy
“A good school provides a rounded education for the whole person. And a good Catholic school, over and above this, should help all its students to become saints…”
Pope Benedict XVI 2010
Our Catholic faith is central to the day to day life of our school and all aspects of the curriculum. Pupils are encouraged to recognise the importance of their faith and they respond to all forms of liturgy and worship with respect and reverence. We have a rich liturgical life through which children are given the chance to meet Jesus in prayer. We have weekly child led Collective Worship in each class which further enhances children’s spiritual growth, helping them to develop a deeper understanding of their faith.
The spiritual development of pupils is shown by pupils’ ability to be reflective about their own beliefs that inform their perspective on life and their interest in and respect for different people’s faiths, feelings and values as well as their sense of enjoyment and fascination in learning about themselves, others and the world around them.
