‘Be who God meant you to be...’

Catholic Life And Mission

‘Be who God meant you to be, and you will set the world on fire.’

At The Federation of The Annunciation Catholic Schools, our school mission statement is the foundation of the Catholic Life and lived mission of the school. We endeavour to instil in our pupils that our faith calls us to love God and to love our neighbours in every situation, especially our sisters and brothers living in poverty or other challenging situations. Following in the footsteps of Christ, we hope to make present in our unjust and broken world, the justice, love and peace of God. It is by doing so that we truly become who God meant us to be and in turn spread the flame of his love through the world.

We nurture this understanding through our collective worship, assemblies and prayer which help our pupils understand the centrality of our faith to our daily lives. We also develop an understanding of the duty we are called to undertake as Catholics to spread God’s love through our actions. We have worked to embed the principles of Catholic Social Teaching through our curriculum. We also provide opportunities for the pupils serve their community and lead on action through selecting and raising money for charities allowing them to live in service of the calling of our faith and be who God meant them to be.
