Online Safety
As part of a broad and balanced curriculum, all pupils will be made aware of online risks and taught how to stay safe online.
Through training, all staff members will be made aware of:
- Pupil attitudes and behaviours which may indicate they are at risk of potential harm online.
- The procedure to follow when they have a concern regarding a pupil’s online activity.
- Understanding AI-related safeguarding risks, including deepfake imagery and manipulated content used for coercion.
- Misogynistic influencers and ideologies and radicalisation linked to gender-based harm.
- Recognising online manipulation and exploitation patterns.
- Teaching pupils to critically evaluate online content and recognise manipulation.
The school will ensure that appropriate filtering systems are in place on school devices and school networks to prevent children accessing inappropriate material. This filtering system is monitored in partnership with the school safeguarding team and our specialist ICT support.
